Introduction This site is under continuous development and
eventually will contain more pictures and text of trains, windmills, and
a few other interesting things. The emphasis will be on vintage trains
being operated by their founding railroads, their train yards, windmills
in the surrounding country side, and other interesting things along the
way like Tri-Rail in SE Florida. For example there will be pictures
of the narrow gauge trains being operated by the Denver & Rio Grande
railroad in and around Durango, CO, Chama, NM, and Alamosa, CO as well
as pictures of the original round house, original water tower, and the
coal tower in Durango. None of these exist any more and neither does the
narrow gauge three rail freight yard in Alamosa, CO. |
