Introduction

This site is under continuous development and eventually will contain more pictures and text of trains, windmills, and a few other interesting things. The emphasis will be on vintage trains being operated by their founding railroads, their train yards, windmills in the surrounding country side, and other interesting things along the way like Tri-Rail in SE Florida. For example there will be pictures of the narrow gauge trains being operated by the Denver & Rio Grande railroad in and around Durango, CO, Chama, NM, and Alamosa, CO as well as pictures of the original round house, original water tower, and the coal tower in Durango. None of these exist any more and neither does the narrow gauge three rail freight yard in Alamosa, CO.

There will also be pictures of the narrow gauge steam powered rotary plows and Galloping Goose from Delores, CO operating on Cumbres Pass, however these are being operated by the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad. There are also pictures of the logging railroads around Flagstaff, AZ, the Santa Fe line, the Moffat Tunnel (NW of Denver, CO), the Carlton Tunnel (West of Leadville, CO), and other rail lines across the nation. It will take some time to go through these, scan them and put them on this web site, and I don't work on this every day. So bookmark this site and come back in the months that follow, the future, and see the progress.
